Prolonged Sitting Reduces Lifespan - this can help!

Sitting too much is absolutely detrimental to our health! -Taking frequent breaks throughout the day to move and stretch “movement snacks” is a great habit to get into.


-Try not to sit for 50min of each hour. Take a break and walk outside or some other movement.


-Prioritizing walking and other moderate movements- gardening, housework etc counts! You don’t have to go to the gym to keep moving.


-The more you move throughout the day the more energized your body will feel.


Movement "snacks" are a great way to add more movement into your day. Simply tying an activity to a behavior can help. Some examples could include: every time you walk in the kitchen do 10 pushups or keep a pull-up bar or kettlebell in a central location and do some KB swings or pull-ups every time you walk by..... get creative!


We are all busy, but there are so many ways to add a little movement frequently. It starts with being mindful and intentional while building sustainable habits.
